Let's get healthy!

So previously we've talked about healthy food options on campus but we're all about adventure, so let's go beyond the walls of Mac Campus! Just at the Mac centre we've got options including SumoSalad, Top Juice, Boost Juice and healthier alternatives such as roll'd (vietnamese cuisine) which include a lot of fresh veggies in their foods! But let's get into some details and really distinguish the benefits to foodies about these options. Let's start off with sumo salad.

Pros

  • really tasty options which are relatively different to competitors
  • give you the option of having 4 types of salad in one box
  • packaging is 100% recyclable
Cons
  • expensive compared to fast foods in food courts
  • food is tasty but be mindful of their 'healthyness' because their sauces/dressings
  • limited options in mac location

We've also got Boost juice which is great for those who need a pick me up, a lift, a BOOST.
Pros
  • convenience of on the go, which will give you quick satisfaction if you're in a rush
  • quite a variety in fruit and veg options with different contents
Cons
  • wouldn't recommend as an actual meal, will keep you fill for around 2-3 hours (from experience)
  • lines get long really quickly, they're super popular, keep it in mind
  • their options get tedious if you like sticking to 1-2 items on the menu but alternates can be adding your own fruits, making your own blends or going to other places like Top juice

Pros
  • Unique juice combinations which creates interest and provides health benefits and nutritional value
  • provides accompanying salads and snacks
Cons
  • can be overlooked due to large competitors such as boost
  • little bit pricier than competitors which can throw off people to try it

  • Pros
  • has a new perspective on providing authentic Vietnamese fast food
  • great way for people to taste test Vietnamese food if they've never tried it
  • Cons
  • some of these dishes may be preferred to be tried in a restaurant e.g pho which is a beef noodle dish which has stock which is traditionally made from scratch, having it in a fast food style is accessible but could lower quality
  • Vietnamese food is generally messy to eat fast food style, very delicious however.
